Homeowners Association or Community Association
law is the body of statutes and court decisions which govern how
community associations, their boards of directors and members must
operate and behave in conjunction with each other and the general
public. It is a highly specialized field which is constantly changing
and evolving such that lawyers who do not regularly practice her
are out of their depth. The laws and case decisions govern virtually
every aspect of community association life - - from a condo association's
construction defect suit against the builder, to an association
member's right to have a cat or fly a flag, to the Association's
ability to collect assessments to pay its bills. |
